Teaching Approach

  • Never say never: do not let students give up on learning.
  • Use technology to bring home abstract concepts and make them concrete.

Outstanding Achievements

  • Makes extensive use of Smart Boards to allow students to 'see' molecules and reactions. Labs are also built into Smart Boards; students use the technology for practice, for review and for building new ideas to explain current theories.
  • Her students' success rate over the past four years has been remarkable. The pass rate is 98 percent. In the past six years, three of her students have won the University of Saskatchewan First and Best Award.
